Connect Argus to your AI assistant.

Argus has no dashboard. It connects to your AI assistant through the Model Context Protocol (MCP). You need two things: the URL below and an Argus account.

MCP endpoint

https://argus.ing/mcp

Before you start.

Make an Argus account and verify your email address. You must sign in to Argus during the connection. Argus gives your assistant only the data of your own workspace.

Make an account →

Claude

  1. Open Settings → ConnectorsIn Claude (web or desktop), click your name at the bottom left. Then click Settings → Connectors.
  2. Add a custom connectorClick 'Add custom connector'. Type the name Argus. Paste the MCP endpoint (above) in the URL field.
  3. Connect and approveClick Connect. Argus shows its sign-in screen. Sign in, then click Approve. Claude opens again.
  4. Make sure that it worksStart a new chat and open the attachments menu. Make sure that Argus is in the list of connectors and its tools are on. In Claude Code, type /mcp.

You must have a paid Claude plan to add a custom connector. On a Team or Enterprise plan, an administrator can block custom connectors. If you cannot add the connector, speak to your administrator.

ChatGPT

  1. Set developer mode to onGo to Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced. Set developer mode to on. Before you do this, custom MCP connectors are hidden.
  2. Make the connectorIn Apps & Connectors, click Create. Type the name Argus. Paste the MCP endpoint (above). Keep the authentication set to OAuth.
  3. Connect and approveClick Connect. Sign in to Argus on the screen that opens. Click Approve. ChatGPT keeps the connection on your account.
  4. Use it in a chatStart a new chat. Select Argus in the apps and connectors menu. Ask one of the questions below.

The functions of custom connectors in ChatGPT are different for each plan. OpenAI also moves these settings from time to time. If you cannot find developer mode, your workspace administrator possibly set it to off.

Other assistants.

The endpoint is a standard remote MCP server with OAuth 2.0 and PKCE. Cursor, Copilot, Gemini and other MCP clients connect in the same way: add the URL, sign in and approve.

What to ask after you connect.

You do not have to type the name Argus. Ask your assistant in usual language. The assistant uses Argus when it is necessary.

  • Make a full recon of this tender: <name, link or reference>. Is it good for us to bid?

You get the full dossier: the published criteria and weights, the companies that usually bid on and win this type of work, and the number of competitors.

  • Which companies have contracts with the buyer of this tender now: <name, link or reference>? What is the value of these contracts?

You get the current contractors from the published award notices. This quickly shows if the tender is really open to new companies.

  • I have an award report. Give me the upload link.

Argus gives you an upload page. The link stops after a short time. The file goes directly to your workspace. It does not go through the assistant.

  • Read our last award report. Where did we get higher or lower scores than the other companies?

You get your score for each criterion, compared to the other bidders. You also see your price compared to the price of the winner.

  • Examine the methodology section of our proposal for this tender. Use the Argus recon.

Argus gives the facts. Your assistant writes the text. Argus does not write text for your proposal.

Argus gives facts, not conclusions. It does not tell you what to improve first. It does not predict a score. It does not tell you to bid. If you need these conclusions, ask your assistant to calculate them with you from the Argus numbers.

If something does not work.

  • The assistant cannot connect to Argus. Make sure that the endpoint URL is correct. Look for an error in the host name and for a slash (/) at the end.
  • You approved the connection, but the tools are not there. Some assistants set a connector to on for one chat only. Start a new chat and set Argus to on.
  • Argus says 'no workspace'. You approved with a different account. Disconnect Argus. Then connect again with the account that has your uploads.
  • There is no custom connector option. Your plan or your administrator does not permit custom MCP connectors.

Is there still a problem? Send an email. You get help with the connection. [email protected]
